April is National Car Care Month. Are you ready to do something special for your car? Even during quarantine, you can still show that you care about your vehicle. Here is a list of five things you can do to take care of your car from home:

1. Clean it, make it shiny!

With some soap and water and a microfiber cloth, you can make miracles! You do not need more to wash away the dust and dirt. Keep your car also Coronavirus-free, by rubbing the high-touch hard surfaces with Isopropyl alcohol.

2. Check the tires

Scrub your tires with a stiff brush and a special tire-cleaning product or with soap and water. Then, check your tire pressure and tread depth. If something worries you, then you should get your car to a shop for tire rotation and alignment.

3. Inspect engine oil

Park your car on an even surface, and read the oil level with a dipstick. If the level is low, fill the tank up. Keep an eye for oil leaks, and if you observe such an issue, then contact a shop for repairs.

4. Examine transmission fluid

If the cap to the fluid cylinder is not sealed, then examine the transmission fluid level in the break-fluid reservoir and power-steering pump at the same time. Run the inspection while the engine is warmed up and running. Fill the tanks, if the fluid is running low.

5. Order new lights and wipers

If your windshield wipers are worn out, and some lights are not working properly, order new ones. These are very important safety features of your car, so check them regularly and replace them when needed.
