Does window tinting on a government-owned vehicle violate any regulations?

We don’t install tinting on government-owned vehicles (GOVs). For personally owned vehicles (POVs) of military personnel stationed at MCAS Miramar, window tinting is a personal vehicle modification and subject only to California law — which requires 70% VLT minimum on front side windows. Rear windows and back glass have no minimum. We apply legal tinting only on POVs.
