Why wrap instead of paint
A wrap is not a cheaper paint job. It is a different product, and for most drivers who want a new look it is the better one.
Finishes paint cannot match
Matte, satin, chrome, carbon fiber and color-shift films that would cost far more as paint, if paint could do them at all.
Protects the factory paint
The wrap takes the sun, light scratches and road grime, so the paint underneath stays exactly as it left the factory.
Fully reversible
Change your mind, change the color again, or return the car to stock. The film comes off without damaging good paint.
Better resale
A car with original paint and a documented wrap sells better than one with an aftermarket respray. The wrap comes off, a respray does not.

Why we use Avery Dennison Supreme film
The film decides how the wrap looks in year five, not just on delivery day. We use premium film exclusively for color change wraps.
| Avery Dennison Supreme | Cheap import film | |

| Removal | No adhesive residue left behind | Can leave glue on the paint |
| Weather | Rated for UV, heat, humidity and salt spray | Fades and cracks sooner |
| Life in San Diego | 5 to 7 years with basic care | Shorter, varies by brand |

Pick your finish

Gloss and satin color change
A full new color with a factory-paint look. Two-tone combinations, like a gloss body with a satin roof, are among our most requested.
Matte and stealth
Flat black, matte gray and satin finishes for a murdered-out look without a permanent matte respray.
Chrome and color-shift
Mirror chrome, color-shift chameleon and holographic films that change with the light. Show-car finishes.
Accents and chrome delete
Roof, hood, mirrors, stripes and blacked-out chrome trim. A big change for a fraction of a full wrap.

How a wrap gets done
We do not rush wraps. Film needs the right temperature and time to conform properly.
Quote and samples
Send the form or call for a quote the same business day. Bring the car in and see film samples on your own paint.
Prep
Full wash and decontamination, a paint inspection, then bumpers, handles and trim come off so the edges can be tucked.
Wrap
Film is laid, heat-formed into every recess and post-heated so it holds its shape. A sedan takes 2 to 3 days, an SUV or truck 3 to 4.
Reassembly and care
Parts go back on and we inspect every edge. Hand wash with pH-neutral soap and keep pressure washers off the edges.

Vinyl wrap FAQs
Straight answers on cost, durability and what happens to your paint.
How much does a vinyl wrap cost in San Diego?
A full color change on a coupe or sedan runs $3,400 to $4,800 with premium film, and SUVs and trucks run $4,500 to $6,500 or more. Partial wraps and chrome deletes cost far less. See the color change cost guide.
How long does a car wrap last?
A professionally installed wrap in premium film lasts 5 to 7 years in San Diego. Sun is the main thing that ages it, so hand washing and covered parking help it last longer.
Will a wrap damage my paint when it comes off?
Not if the paint is in good condition and a professional removes it. Problems happen on paint that is already peeling or chipped, which is why we inspect the paint before we wrap.
How long does a full wrap take?
A full color change on a sedan takes 2 to 3 days. SUVs and trucks take 3 to 4 days.
Can I take a wrapped car through a car wash?
Hand washing is best. Avoid brush car washes, never aim a pressure washer at the film edges, and do not wax the wrap.
Do you do partial wraps?
Yes. Roof-only, hood-only, mirror caps, stripes, panel accents and chrome deletes are all available, and they cost far less than a full wrap.
Can you wrap over an existing wrap?
We do not recommend it. Layered film builds up at the edges and does not stick as well. We remove the old wrap cleanly and start fresh.
Is a wrap cheaper than paint?
Not always. A wrap wins on reversibility, finish choice and protecting the original paint. Here is the full wrap vs paint comparison.
Do I need to wash my car before the appointment?
It helps, but we do a full wash and decontamination before any film goes on.
Can you add paint protection film under the wrap?
Yes. PPF on the front end under the wrap gives the factory paint extra protection, which is popular on cars people plan to keep for five years or more.

Wrap customers often add one of these at the same visit. Ask and we will quote them together.
